Yes, this my 100th post… don’t know if that is suppose to mean something, or not.
It started to snow about an hour ago. This is what is looked like about 45 minutes into the storm. And according to the Weather Channel’s radar, it is going to do this all night.

Since I started to write this, upload and post the pics, the ground is covered white and getting deeper… can’t wait til morning!
And don’t forget to go to A Writer and A Rider to leave a comment telling her what your favorite fall memory is so that you can win a free bar of glycerin handmade soap!

Hey, guys - go on over to A Writer and A Rider, make a comment to enter her free bar of soap contest. She makes her own soap-very gentle and no allergens. It is a wonderful bar of Midnight Chocolate Amber, which was her top seller at the County Fair this year. She says “It’s sultry, sexy and somehow perfect for the new, dark nights of fall (not to be mistaken for dark nights of the soul). Plus, just like an authentic autumn day, these bars start out light colored and cheery (see background soap) and then darken to a broody, rich brown as they age, showing off the gold veins running though:”

I agree with her totally that it is an awesome looking AND smelling bar of soap! So, I hope you have time to go and enter to get one for yourself!

Talina, over at HarvestofDailyLife was nosy curious about her reader’s work/computer areas. So, here is a pic of my work area - no retouching or cleaning was allowed. I have some of my fairies, pics of my grandma who is 92 now, my fish tank, my ebay stuff for sale and my computer software and books near by.

And, since I had the camera on, I wanted to share one of my orchid plants…. it has FIVE stems of flowers this time! I put the pot in the floor so that the flowers would show better than in the window where I keep it. Archie could not resist the fun. :-) Notice the upper left hand corner.. those are some buds that I am waiting for to open.

I spent a big chunk of my day hooked at Bloggy Giveaways yesterday. Last count, there are 726 participants. They are offering so MANY different prizes!!! Gift cards to Target, Barnes&Noble, ebay, Amazon, Starbucks - to name a few. LOTS of “mommy” kinds of prizes. They require that you leave a comment… a few others have a few more requirements that are easy to do. It was great to see so many styles of blogs, to read so many different topics and if you don’t sign up, you can’t win! I need to tear myself away from that today and get somethings listed at ebay.
Oh, at one of the blogs that I visited yesterday, I found the cool but very addictive Bubbles game at Widgetbox (they have all sorts of widgets and codes that are compatible to many blog sites) and added it to my sidebar… I hope you enjoy it!

I have been looking forward to the Stuber Auctions starting again since last October. They sell unpaid for storage rooms at the various storage unit locations around Flagstaff. The items in the storage rooms vary a lot - such as, holiday decorations, jewelry, clothes, rugs, furniture, toys, collectables, pictures, books and mystery boxes. Most things start at a dollar bidding. Yesterday they even had a few cars for sale - one sold for $4.00. The first time I went to one I felt strange going through some poor soul’s stuff. But then I got caught up in the fun of it. The people who attend these auctions are, in general, very nice people. Yesterday I got a bike in fairly decent shape for $1.00. I took it to a guy for repair and adjustments and it will still be cheaper than buying a new one. Sometimes the storage room is sold as a whole item. I got sunburned and windblown but I still had a good time. I love the excitment of the live auction!

I found a site mentioned in the AZ Daily Sun for Waterfallswest. The photographer’s name is Leon Turnbull. He takes pics of waterfalls mostly on the west of the states and Canada. You should go check out his gallery. He has taken pics of Grand Falls just east of Flagstaff that are very beautiful. He has taken some of other places that I love in California. A fellow blogger, Talina, went to the Grand Falls about a week ago and she said that it is a great hike to the falls and that the hike is well worth it. Leon would like us all to Help Save the North Fork of the American River . I grew up along the American River and it is worth saving! So, please, check out his beautiful site! He has info on all of the waterfalls - such as driving directions, level of difficulty to get to the waterfall, if you can take your dog with you and lots of stuff about the waterfall. I am going to take my boys to the Grand Falls as soon as I can before the water flow decreases. And go to his blog to see Rainbow Bridge near Folsom Lake which is near Sacramento, CA - Rainbow Bridge is one of my old high school hangout places.
