    Dear Maiden53,
Thank you so very much for your gracious comment you left regarding my post… Heartache At The Hands of the “Church”

You mentioned that “maybe I need to read more of your posts”. If you did,, it would give you a far better glimpse into what has taken place since getting free from an abusive marriage that lasted almost 25 years.

I spent 30 years as a Humanitarian Aid Relief Coordinator & Educator for First Responders. This allowed me entry into numerous nations across four continents. So, for most of that time I was married to the abuser…plus, being out of the USA for most of that time (except for furloughs)…compounded the problem.

However, I saw the Lord’s work flouriish! Even in the midst of personal crisis…He was able to use my hands as His own. For this I am profoundly grateful.

The post you read is part of a larger work, that is yet unfinished. You telling me that if I needed help…blessed me beyond measure. The idea that you would ‘put yourself out there to help’…touched my heart. May the Lord reward you richly. One of the MAJOR stumbling blocks in front of women receiving help escaping abuse is the “church”…I’ve found this to be true (from my reader base) from Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between. I’m currently lobbying in my state to have $$$ allocated differently between the counties (too complicated to get into in one email)

Since the abuse is behind me, and me being a writer/educator…I was asked on behalf of the women’s resource center to do a web site dealing with Domestic Absue and do articles regarding this topic. The articles I’ve done are here locally.

I’ll be eager to hear from you once you’ve read a few more posts. This will also let YOU see…that my gratitude for your offer of help…goes far beyond words. Words alone could never express what’s in my heart for the kindness you’ve shown me.

I would also like to hear how you were able to escape that trap of Domestic Violence.

    Kindest Regards,

    Michelle
